Divisions Network Executive Leadership and Management Program

“As a CEO, I often reflect on my role as the leader of my organisation, what this means, and what skills and experiences I bring to drive the success of my organisation. So starting the Divisions Network Executive Leadership and Management Program where I can learn new skills, sharpen my attack and most importantly, share experiences and build networks with my colleagues has been a rewarding experience. And I can’t wait to implement my new skills in running my organisation – I’d recommend it to those contemplating further studies.”

The Divisions Network Executive Leadership and Management Program has been designed by the Network for the Network, with solid academic rigour.
For some time, Divisional CEOs have asked – where is the investment in CEOs as leaders in the Network – how are we being developed and supported?
AGPN, working with Network members and the University of New England Partnerships program, has designed this course to be based on real-life Divisional business. The program specifically targets senior levels of Division Management, ie; CEOs or emerging leaders and runs over a ten month period, with three residentials – for 2007, the residentials will be run from St Kilda, VIC, and the March 2007 intake will include incentives to early registrants for support with travel and accommodation.

“As a Divisional CEO with some years experience in the Network, I looked forward to the Divisions Network Executive Leadership and Management Program with some zeal. As part of the first Intake of students, I have found that I am learning constantly, finding new tools to use in managing North West Melbourne Division and enjoying the debate with my colleagues. I’d recommend it to all CEOs and emerging leaders as another string to add to your bow that is practical and based on the needs of running a medium sized business.”

“Managing the demands of a senior position in a state based organisation can be challenging at the best of times – facilitating leadership and support to members to ensure their needs are met. As a participant in Intake I, the Divisions Network Executive Leadership and Management Program has enabled me to build on my skills to more effectively understand and support my Divisions at a state and now national level. The opportunities for reflections leading to actions have been great!”
