Management
The improvement of palliative care services within a rural area is likely to require significant change. Internal and external factors need to be identified and considered carefully as to avoid the adverse outcomes that are not uncommon when change management is poorly implemented. Key to managing the change is an understanding of culture, behaviours, formal and informal processes, consultation and how these apply at each level of an organisation.
