Education resources

Sharing of educational resources allows palliative care professionals to focus on the key role of caring for individuals and their families.  The resources available on these pages are intended to provide ideas and templates.  For a more effective educational process modifying the resources for ownership is encouraged.  Key partners in educational planning and implementation are programs that are currently being managed by the Department of Health and Ageing: the Medical Specialist Outreach Assistance Program (MSOAP) and the Professional Experience in Palliative Approach (PEPA).

Palliative Care Education Program

A series of presentations that provide an insight into nursing education in the area of palliative care.  These presentations deal with practical implications of nursing individuals facing problems with a life-threatening illness and their families.  They also wrestle with some of the key philosophical issues that are a part of  the process of effective palliative care.

International Medical Graduates (IMGs)

As IMGs are now common within the rural sector, it is important that their needs are addressed in education programs available in the area of palliative care.
