One of the key activities to be undertaken by AGPN under the Nursing in General Practice (NiGP) Program is to host a two-day annual Forum for the Division Practice Nurse Program Officers and other interested Divisional staff.

The key aims for the Forum are to-

• Showcase nationally relevant NiGP iniatives and models.
• Share knowledge, skills and resources.
• Coach and collaborate with divisions to build their capacity to support Nursing in General Practice.
• Build support networks amongst division NiGP program officers nationally.
• Provide an opportunity to review the strengths and weaknesses of the NiGP program.
• Prioritise future activities.

The first annual Forum was held in Brisbane on 29th -30th August 2006.
