Free HPV vaccine from General Practitioners
From 1 July 2007, the free vaccine will also be available from GPs and community immunisation clinics to young women who have not received the vaccine through the school program and are still aged under 27. The vaccine will be available for this group for two years, until 30 June 2009. The vaccine is given in a series of three injections, spread out over a six-month period. Doctors should note that each State and Territory is responsible for distribution in their jurisdiction and this may impact on rollout. NCIRS 10th Anniversary Conference & the 2nd National Immunisation Workshop
NCIRS is pleased to announce it's 10th Anniversary, which will be celebrated with a 1-day conference titled 'A Decisive Decade in Immunisation' followed by a dinner. The conference will he held on 18th of July in conjunction with the 2nd National Immunisation Workshop that will feature prominent international guest speakers including Professor Scott Halperin, and Professor Heinz-Josef Schmitt. National Divisions Immunisation Workshop
Unleashing the Power of Divisions is the theme for the National Divisions Immunisation Workshop for 2007. The Immunisation Workshop will begin on Wednesday evening 29th August with an informal networking dinner and divisional presentations with the main meeting to start with a breakfast session on the Thursday 30th.
