Call for Nominations
In accordance with ADGP's Constitution, we are calling for nominations from Western Australian Divisions for the position of Western Australian GP Director to the ADGP Board, to be elected for a period from the declaration of the election result to the conclusion of the 2005 ADGP AGM.
Eligibility
Each Division of General Practice in Western Australia is eligible to nominate one or more candidates, who must be a GP and a member of the nominating Division.
Nominations
Divisions are invited to forward nominations to ADGP (utilising the attached nomination form) to be received by ADGP on or before 7.00pm Friday 3 September 2004 (EASTERN STANDARD TIME).
Nominations should be forwarded to ADGP in hardcopy by either post or by fax and should be signed by a representative of the Division as well as the candidate. Please also provide up to one page of information about your candidates for circulation with the ballots. This information should address the selection criteria outlined in the attached position description for ADGP Directors.
Please send your nominations by mail or fax to:
Ms Liesel Wett Acting Chief Executive Officer/ADGP Returning Officer ADGP PO Box 4308 MANUKA ACT 2603 Fax: (02) 6228 0899
Ballot
If the number of nominations is greater than the number of positions available a postal ballot will be held. The election will be held using the optional preferential voting system, as only one candidate is to be elected. A description of this system is available on ADGP's website. An independent agent within the Divisions network (from a non-WA Division and not associated with ADGP) will count the ballots. A scrutineer will observe the process.
The ballot process will take place from Monday 6 September 2004 to Friday 17 September 2004. All Divisions will receive a ballot paper. The result of the ballot will be announced on Monday 20 September 2004. All Western Australian Divisions will be notified.
