Rural Palliative Care Program

Information Management and Technology Program

The Division aims to support and promote the use of Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) in General Practice and thus improve communication between GPs and their external environment. The Division

also aims to:

  • To determine the IM/IT needs of the members of the Division.
  • To promote the uptake of IM/IT and communication facilities in general practice.
  • To provide advocacy and liaison for general practice on IM/IT issues.
  • To disseminate relevant IM/IT information to general practice.
  • To develop the Division's capacity for proper and appropriate data collection and storage.

Operational Management Program

This Program is aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Division in achieving its objectives through best practice management of human and other resources. The Division will do this by developing and implementing best practice systems for resource management, as well as developing a mechanism for monitoring and evaluating Divisional performance.
