Travel & Accommodation Arrangements

THE HOST CITY - Adelaide is large enough to provide big-city facilities, without traffic congestion and access difficulties. There are more than 2000 hotel rooms of international standard located in the central business district. Dining in the city offers fresh local produce in both casual cafes and formal restaurants and Adelaide is the nation's wine capital. Theatres, cinemas, shopping malls, the Art Gallery, the Museum, the National Wine Centre, beautiful parks and many other attractions are in walking distance of most hotels and the Adelaide Convention Centre.

TRAVEL

Corporate Traveller, as the official travel provider for ADGP, is offering a special conference airfare with Qantas of up to 40% discount off full economy fares, excluding taxes. These fares are available to all delegates and accompanying persons travelling to and from Adelaide up to seven days either side of the Forum. Delegates are advised to book early to ensure the widest choice of flights. Date changes are permitted subject to availability. Airfares are fully refundable up to three days before travel commences, after which a 25% cancellation fee applies.

Best Fare of the Day

Corporate Traveller will also book the "Best Fare of the Day" at delegates' request. Although these cheaper flight options carry various restrictions in comparison to conference fares, an excellent fare price may be available.

Travel Insurance

Corporate Traveller strongly recommends travel insurance even for travel within Australia. A policy covering cancellation due to illness and other unforeseen circumstances, or additional expense incurred as a result of an airline strike, is available. The policy cannot be issued without a signature and date of birth. Application details are on the attached travel arrangements request form.

Travel Prize

Corporate Traveller in conjunction with Qantas Airways is pleased to offer a travel voucher for the Divisions of General Practice Network Forum 2004 to the value of $800.00 for further travel on Qantas Airways. To be eligible to participate in winning this voucher simply book your conference flights through your designated State Corporate Traveller office. Adelaide delegates not flying to the Forum need only fax a copy of their registration confirmation letter to Corporate Traveller to qualify.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation has been reserved for delegates at the hotels listed.  Special accommodation options are available for people with disabilities. Delegates requiring these facilities are encouraged to register early and indicate their requirements in the 'special requirements' section of the registration form.

A deposit equal to one night's tariff must accompany registration forms. All delegates are responsible for paying the balance of their account when checking out of the hotel. Personal or company cheques will not be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made directly with the hotel concerned.

Due to hotel requirements all bookings must be received by 20 August 2004.  After this date bookings cannot be guaranteed.

ACCOMMODATION ALTERATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS

Alterations to or cancellation of hotel accommodation may be made via Conference Solutions until  20 August 2004. After that date, changes may not be possible. Cancellations less than 14 days from the reserved date may incur a penalty, at the discretion of the hotel.

New accommodation bookings or changes to accommodation bookings made after  20 August 2004 will incur an extra $20 administration fee.
