It is with pleasure that I invite you to the Divisions of General Practice Network Forum for 2003: "Focussed on the Future". Forum 2003 will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 20-23 November 2003 and whilst the venue may be familiar, the Steering Committee has been working hard to deliver a new format for the program, with more workshops and open forums, new speakers and sessions, and up-to-the-minute policy and practice.
The Steering Committee has listened to the feedback received last year, and has included a number of different elements in the Program to allow more interactive discussions on the key issues in general practice and primary care, as well as the usual opportunities for individual Division Papers and Posters.
An exciting Social Program is also being planned, with a number of fun optional Partners and Families activities for GPs and their families. As usual, the Gala Dinner will be a night to remember, with entertainment, dancing and spectacular theming
The large Trade Exhibition and poster display provides businesses, health organisations, education providers and other agencies with unequalled access to over 1,000 GPs, Division staff, other health professionals and key decision makers in government.
The Forum offers great value for money and at a time of profound change in both general practice and Divisions, with the Divisions Review, Medicare reform and ongoing funding debates, it is vital that all of us get involved in the policy discussion and make our voices heard. Where do YOU want general practice to be headed?
I look forward to welcoming you to Forum 2003.
