Summary of Programs & Projects:
The Division has developed the core business of providing GP education and direct practice support to the GPs and their staff.

Direct practice support is a key area and the Division has a number of strategies including Information Management, supporting practice staff educationally and focusing on practice nurses with clinical and practice management up-skilling.  A population health focus is being applied to all key programs and population groups are targeted through the Women's Health , Adolescent Health and CALD programs.

Aged Care GP Panels have been initiated with liaison between the sub-committee and Nursing Homes to improve patient and GP access.

The Division has taken up the Access to Allied Health initiative employing a Clinical Psychologist and developing a MoU with the Transcultural Mental Health Centre to provide patients with non-acute mental health issues with free Focussed Psychological Strategies sessions.
