- Dr Rachel Hammond

Established in 2005, WA General Practice Network is the state-based organisation (SBO) for the Divisions network in Western Australia – providing key support for the important work of Divisions / Networks of General Practice at the local level.

In providing this support, WA General Practice Network promotes the central role of Divisions / Networks of General Practice in primary health care by ensuring that key State stakeholders and Divisions work together in a supported environment.

Whilst still in the early phases of development, WA General Practice Network has strongly delivered on its core initial priorities of:

  • Developing an effective communication network both within the WA network and with key stakeholders in State, Commonwealth and non-government health sectors;
  • Delivering effective information, policy, and strategic engagement initiatives;
  • Driving the development of a Primary Health Care framework for WA; and,
  • Ensuring a voice for Primary Health Care in the redevelopment process of the Western Australian Health system.
The NEVDGP is a rural division with a large geographic area, approximately one fifth of Victoria. The Division's
