The purpose of the Greater Bunbury Division of General Practice is to support General Practices to improve the health of the community. We will do this by enhancing the skills, knowledge and experience of General Practitioners in their pivotal role in planning and coordinating health and by identifying innovative ways of providing more effective health care.
Major Achievements:
- Continued interaction with other agencies including Edith Cowan University, TAFE, Notre Dame University, University of WA, WACRRM, WAGPET, Southwest Area Health, SJOG Health Care, Mission Australia, Zonta.
- Statewide Co-ordination of Immunisation Program for WA Divisions.
- Involvement in Steering Committee in reforming WA State Based Office.
Challenges for the Future:
- Gaining increased Health Dept funding for Pain Management Clinic
- Retain existing staffing levels
- Sourcing additional funding.
- Moving towards non-GP involvement at the Board level
