The Far North Queensland Rural Division of General Practice is home to a total of 110 to 115 General Practitioners with approximately 70 working privately in group or solo practices. The goals of the Division are to promote the integration of General Practitioners more fully into the health system, and to advance the health and welfare of people in Far North Queensland. Division policies and programs actively encourage GPs to develop stronger links with the public health role.
