Travel and Accommodation Policy

Introduction

The National MMR Facilitator Scheme Conference 2003 has been scheduled in order to enhance communication and support across programs.  This policy is written with the aim of providing clear and equitable guidance.  Please do not hesitate to discuss your specific situation with the Pharmacy Guild MMR FP National Manager, Michael Quaass.

General

  • Only one delegate, the MMR Facilitator, will be reimbursed from each Division.
  • Additional Divisional staff are welcome to attend but at the cost of that Division.
  • Facilitators/Divisions should book and pay for all travel (including private car and public transport costs) and accommodation, and then submit tax invoice receipts to Mike Quaass at the Pharmacy Guild for reimbursement (using the Guild Reimbursement Form), no later than 31st December 2003.  No payments will be made after this date.
  • When booking accommodation at the Hilton, the title of the conference should be quoted to receive the group discount.  A block of rooms have been pre-booked.
  • When booking air travel, contact Sascha at Corporate Traveller by email on sascha_moroney@corptraveller.com or on 1800 630 834, and quote the conference name for economy discount fares.
  • Business or other class airfares will not be reimbursed.
  • Incidental, travel allowance, wage and sitting fee costs will not be reimbursed.
  • One night's accommodation for delegates from interstate and country Victoria.
  • Melbourne metropolitan delegates, those from States requiring extensive travel and any persons with other travel requirements are invited to discuss the matter with the Guild National Manager.
  • Please alert the Hilton Hotel to any specific dietary, access or communication needs.

Meals

  • Accommodation costs may include a Continental breakfast which is only available from the Airo Restaurant at a special rate.
  • Meals will be provided during the conference.
  • All other food and drink costs must be met be the individual.

Car Travel

  • Refer to the general MMR FP travel policy.
  • Persons intending to travel distances greater than 100 kms in a car of any type should gain prior approval from the Guild National Manager.
