Structural Efficiency Working Group Survey of Divisions
16th September 2005
By: GPDV
The Review Implementation Committee was established in July 2004 to provide advice to the Australian Government on implementing the Government Response. These two checklists, the self-assessment checklist and the boundary realignment checklist have been developed by the Structural Efficiency Working Group, a sub-committee of the RIC.
Environmental change is inevitable for all organisations and those who thrive are those with the flexibility to adapt and make the most of changed circumstances. If divisions are to maximise the delivery of services and programs to general practice and the community it is vital that all understand the new environment in which they will operate, have appropriately qualified staff and strong management practices, effective relations with stakeholders and continuous quality improvement.
As part of this process of ensuring that all division are able to operate effectively in the new environment and improving the capacity of the network as a whole, every division should reassess their boundary alignment to ensure their boundaries are appropriately set in a way that supports their strong performance.
