The Australasian Association for Quality in Health Care (AAQHC) and The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) have entered into an exciting new partnership to deliver the 4th peak conference 'Raising the Bar in Quality' in Melbourne, Australia, 21-23 August 2006. Both the AAQHC and the ACHS are delighted that the Australian Council for Safety and Quality in Health Care and the Department of Human Services, Victoria will be key partners in presenting an exciting collaborative program which builds on the success and learning from the 2005 conference held in Adelaide.

For those interested in helping to shape the agenda, the 'Call for Abstracts' is open until 20 February 2006 with contributions invited for abstracts addressing one or more of the conference themes (clinical quality, support quality and corporate quality) from general practice, primary and aged care, community and mental health, consumers, clinicians and health managers from all sectors of the public and private health system.
