Active Electronic Templates Unavailable

Interest in the active templates for EPC, HMR, Asthma 3+ and others, developed by Dr Trina Gregory has been extensive. Unfortunately, the templates have been temporarily removed from the ADGP website due to:

  • The distribution of the templates will create support demand that ADGP is not currently resourced to meet
  • The templates are part of a model of primary care that ADGP has not yet been resourced to develop
  •  ADGP is negotiating regarding funding to develop this package including the templates

Please return to this site at the end of May 2003 for an update on progress on this matter, or contact Geraldine Velez to have your email added to a register of interest (MMR Facilitators will be automatically added to this register).

Update June 2003

Due to intellectual property issues and because ADGP is not funded to provide the appropriate level of support, templates for HMR and other MBS Items will no longer be available from ADGP.  ADGP advises that any permission previously given or implied to use the templates is no longer valid from this point forward.  ADGP asks that persons or organisations cease distributing any templates containing intellectual property belonging to ADGP and/or the designers of templates previously made available through ADGP.

GPs currently using HMR templates from ADGP are not affected and should continue to use them freely and confidently.  GPs/practices who have signed confidentiality agreements with ADGP are not affected.

This is a temporary and unavoidable measure taken due to negotiations with software companies to have templates (or their equivalent) built directly into GP software.  While this restriction of access to the templates may cause an initial hiatus, the eventual supply of templates directly through GP software will greatly increase access and sustainability, and encourage GP uptake of HMR and other MBS Items.

If you require further clarification on this matter, please contact Michael Janssen.
