Mackay DGP is unable to continue with a commitment to ERM.
18th March 2005
By: ADGP/Mackay
At meeting on 17 March 2005, the Mackay DGP Board of Directors reviewed whether the organisation had the capacity to participate in ERM given the change in Australian Government's expectation for Divisions of General Practice.
Mackay DGP has had two major focuses within its business; one was QUM and the other workforce. The Board decided at last nights meeting that workforce must remain the main focus of the Division and therefore it would not be possible to continue with a major focus on QUM.
The Board were clear that they wish to positively engage with the Australian Government's new National Priority Areas and to do this a number of the existing programs must be either dropped or refocused.
The Division wishes those organisations who decide to proceed all the best with this endeavour.
