INVITATION
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend the Royal College of Nursing, Australia Inaugural National Practice Nurse Conference. The theme for the conference "New Roads to Travel: Challenges for the expanding role of the Practice Nurse", reflects the changes occurring in this area of nursing practice. The challenges invite discussion on such important questions as: what is the role of practice nurses and how does research, education and clinical practice come together to support nurses in this expanding role?
In keeping with the concept of challenge, the program will feature forums and debates that will allow delegates to discuss issues that impinge on clinical practice, using the expertise and skills of our keynote speakers to assist in finding solutions.
This is the first national practice nurse conference and we are excited that it is being held in a regional area of Western Australia.
