CDM Funding Allocations 2003-04
20th March 2003
By: ADGP

In response to feedback ADGP has received from Divisions and SBOs regarding proposed CDM Initiative funding allocations for 2003-2004 an open letter was delivered this morning to Mr Andrew Stuart, First Assistant Secretary, Primary Care Division, Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing. (To download document see link below.)

Mr Stuart will be responding to the issues raised in the letter in his address to the Chronic Disease Management Forum currently being held in Canberra.

ADGP hopes that the presence of Division, SBO, and ADGP representatives and senior Departmental Officers such as Mr Stuart at the Forum will ensure that an acceptable resolution to these issues will be achieved.

I would like to thank those Divisions whose CDM allocation details appear in the attached letter for agreeing to have these details made public.  Inclusion of these details provides added weight to ADGP's request for urgent attention on this matter.

Divisions Network members can be confident that ADGP will continue to pursue an appropriate resolution to this issue.

Information about Mr Stuart's response to ADGP's letter and outcomes of the CDM Workshop will be provided to Divisions and SBOs on Friday 21 March.

For further information please contact either Mark Brommeyer, Principal Adviser Chronic Disease and Information Management or Wendy Shephard Senior policy Adviser at ADGP on 02 6228 0800.
