This is the eighth year the Australian Divisons of General Practice has been bringing together dynamic, general practitioners who are Division leaders with a passion for primary health care, senior managers from across the Divisions' Network together with government officials, academics allied health providers, nurses and other key players in the primary health care team in a collaborative, learning environment. 

The large trade exhibition and poster display provides businesses, health organisations, education providers and others with unequalled access to over 1,000 GPs, Division staff, other health professionals and key decision makers in government.  

The 2006 Forum will focus on building healthy communities through partnerships.  Emphasis will be on strengthening the primary health care system to improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians.  Informal and formal sessions at the Forum will cover a wide range of issues including chronic disease, mental health, e-health, indigenous health, across the life span health issues, marketing the network and many more.

The 2006 Forum will be held in Queensland at the Gold Coast Convetion and Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach from 25-28 November.  I invite you to attend this conference and be part of an exciting and challenging time in health in Australia.
