| Come to Sydney for the first National Dementia Research Forum under the Australian Government Dementia: A Health Priority Initiative. The forum will be showcasing the work of the CRCs, providing updates on the latest research in diagnosis, treatment and management and providing a platform for new researchers to gain skills develop their ideas and learn from each other and the experts.
The theme of the forum is Translating Research into Practice. This is applied research – how can the lessons from academia translate into best practice at the clinical coalface. The Forum will launch Dementia Awareness Month conducted by Alzheimer’s Australia.
This unique conference will bring together researchers, clinicians, service providers and consumers. Our guest speaker, Professor Ken Rockwood, is one of the foremost researchers and clinicians in the world and is being sponsored by Alzheimer’s Australia. Other plenary speakers include Professor Jenny Abbey, Professor Henry Brodaty and Professor Marc Budge.
The Forum will provide updates on the latest research in drug treatments, prevention of dementia and maintaining quality of life with dementia. |
