Immunisation Resource Manual - Kit for GPs and practice staff.
These kits are designed to complement the Immunisation Handbook. Each division has customised their manual to provide local information and fit with the division's program. They contain items such as:
  • summary, reminder information and instructions such as golden rules of immunisation, the childhood schedule etc (often laminated)
  • sample forms for GPII, ACIR, vaccine ordering and recording, resource ordering
  • local contact details
  • Many kits include sample information resources such as video's, booklets, pamphlets, information sheets and stickers that are available from government and pharmaceutical companies
  • Some divisions have separated material aimed at practice staff from that aimed at general practitioners. For instance, cold chain and vaccine management information for staff and resource material on the schedule, adverse event reporting, vaccine administration etc for GP members.

    Most Victorian divisions have produced and distributed a general immunisation resource manual for GPs as part of their immunisation program. They are usually provided for each consulting room. North East Valley Division of General Practice are the originators, and each division has created their own unique version.

    Consumer Health Education Kit - Immunisation -
    For GP Speakers. Contains power point presentation (in overhead, disk, slide & CD-ROM form) plus speaker notes. Also contains sample pamphlets, reference articles and booklets and videos (Protect your baby for life & Clinical aspects of vaccine preventable diseases - both produced by Smithkline & Beecham and CSL). The kit will be updated on an annual basis.

    includes patient information sheets for travellers, video material on infectious diseases such as pertussis and diphtheria for use in discussions with parents and links to useful information about doses of medications/vaccines.
